Due to Covid-19, and the new laws put in place by the Swedish government, we have decided to transform FBTB 2020 into a completely online experience. And we are determined to make this the best online conference ever! So let's make May 8th a day to remember!
To prevent further spread of the Covid-19 virus the Swedish authorities have decided to ban all events with more than 500 participants. The aim, of course, is to slow down the spread of the virus. People from all over the world are traveling to our conference and by replacing the traditional setup with an online experience we hope that we can contribute to preventing the spread of the virus.
We the FBTB team are heartbroken that we won't get to see all of you in physical form this year. But we adjust, think safety first, and still want to give you the best line-up the conference has ever seen, and the best happening within Service Design, UX and Business Design of 2020. That's why we're transforming the conference into the best online conference ever, on the same date as before: May 8.
If you’ve already bought a ticket you can sit back, your ticket is valid for the online event. All you need is to secure that you have a computer or a phone so that you can enjoy the conference. In time, you will be given detailed instructions on exactly how to connect to the conference.
For all of you who still haven't bought a ticket – online event tickets are now available. Go to the From Business to Buttons website to secure yours.
Just as every year, conference tickets are non-refundable. With only seven weeks to go, we’re simply too far in the process to e.g. get money back for the venue etc, and even though we might save a few bucks on drinks, we’re now adding cost to the production to create a great online experience instead. At this stage, we can only move forward, hope for your understanding, and work together with you to make this the greatest online conference ever. Ideas are already flowing in the FBTB war room. If you want to contribute – don't be a stranger. We are eager to hear your thoughts on how we, together, can make May 8th a day to remember!
We are in dialog with all of the speakers that are hosting workshops. Some of the speakers are eager and willing to do their workshops as an online event, so we’ll see if we can make that happen. But we are sad to say that at least some of the workshops will be canceled. If you have bought a ticket to a workshop that is canceled, you will be reimbursed for that. You will get an e-mail with more information within 5-10 days. So, soon we will send you more details, but for now, just take care!
Kind Regards
Jane and the FBTB team
